Suitkace

Jamaica, Queens native, Michael 'Suitkace' Capito breaks the norm of your typical New York City bboy with his use of flexibility and humor. Beginning his bboy career in 1999 with a local group of friends, Suitkace was unaware of the rich scene beyond his doorstep. His style was heavily influenced by West Coast bboy videos and immediately stood out among the other bboys in New York City. Recognized for his unique approach to bboying, Suitkace was recruited to BREAKS Kru in 2001. Under their guidance, he was able to fuse his flexibility with traditional bboying allowing him to become one of the first influences on the contortionist bboy movement. Suitkace also prides himself on being one of the pioneers of the press/transfer style. Under the BREAKS Kru name, he has battled in renowned events such as Freestyle Session, Out For Fame, and Rock Steady Crew Anniversary. From 2006-2007, Suitkace danced and choreographed for Fr3sh Dance Company. Since then, Suitkace has continued choreographing as well as teaching bboying workshops to various local dance teams including Rhythmology, and Project D. In 2008, Suitkace became the founder and director of the Part Time Models - a freestyle dance crew that promotes the individuality of the dancer through bboying, popping, locking, house, and party grooves. Suitkace graduated from Hunter College in 2009 with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and is a registered nurse. With college out of the way, Suitkace's life as a dancer has started a new with no end in sight.
