JAAMAL H. BENJAMIN aka 'The Grand N. Vigerous' is a Graphic Designer, Dancer/Bboy, Martial Artist & Stage Performer. First generation Brooklyn born American moved to Passaic, NJ at a young age, where he trained in Shotokan Karate for several years. His love for Hip Hop culture cultivated during high school when he started bboying. Upon graduation, Jaamal headed towards Pennsylvania to attend college at The Art Institute of Philadelphia. While studying Art and Design, he continued his passion for bboying and martial arts. In 2002, Jaamal Benjamin became a member of the Breaks Kru and olive Dance Theatre; two important groups that have influenced his knowledge on culture and life. Since then, Jaamal has travelled to perform and/or compete nationally as well as internationally. "Hip Hop, specifically the bboy culture has provided me experiences beyond what I could've imagined and has opened doors to many blessings and joy." |
